Summer Camps

There are a lot of summer camps for kids in Reno, but there’s no summer camp like a Boys & Girls Club summer camp.

Summer Camp 2021

 Registration for the Reno-Sparks Club Summer Camp is OPEN! 

STEP 1: Register or renew your child’s Annual Membership 
STEP 2: Register for the week and or weeks you’d like your child to attend traditional summer camp. You can choose to register and pay for one week at a time or register for the entire summer. 
STEP 3: Field Trips! You cannot register and pay for a field trip if you are not registered and have not paid to participate in traditional summer camp for that week. Sign up for traditional camp and then go back and select the field trip you’d like your child to participate in. Field trips are organized by summer location. 

 

Traditional Summer Camp

Our traditional summer activities include indoor and outdoor games, arts-and-crafts, sports, and many more weekly activities. Each day is structured with intentional programming beginning with awesome summer brain gain enrichment programs and ending with more physical play!

Ages: 6-12 and 13-18

Fee: $40 per week / per child
Fees must be paid ONLINE or at the Clubhouse/location your child will be attending this summer.
Payments must be made the Friday prior to camp.

Summer Meals

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is a proud participant in the Summer Food Service Program, which allows us to serve FREE meals to all children attending one of our feeding sites during mealtimes. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Summer members will receive breakfast, lunch, and a snack at all locations.

  • Weekly Summer Fee: $40  (No pro-rate available- Special rates for Siblings apply)

All fees must be paid the week prior for the member to be enrolled.

No child is ever turned away for the inability to pay.
Financial assistance is offered through the Children’s Cabinet or The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.

    Specialty Summer Camps

    Week-long specialty summer camps are BACK for Summer 2021. Soccer, robotics, rocket build, escape room, film, race car, 3D printing, stream and trails, and tennis camp will all be available to summer camp kids throughout the summer!

    June 14, 2021 - August 6, 2021

    Specialty camp programming will take place in the first part of the day. Once your child’s specialty camp is over for the day, they can join the rest of the Club campers at traditional summer camp for no additional charge

    Each specialty camp ranges in fees from $25-100

    If your child is participating in a specialty summer camp, you DO NOT have to register for the traditional summer camp for that week. You only need to pay the fee and register for the specialty camp and admittance to traditional camp before and after the specialty camp is included in your specialty camp fee.

    Your child MUST be a Boys & Girls Club Member to register for a specialty summer camp. Annual Club memberships are $20.

      Field Trips

      Field trips are a GO this summer! Field trips are an awesome way to break up the long summer days for Club kids and we will be visiting all of our summer favorites! Fly High; Magic Carpet Golf Coconut Bowl; Chuckee Cheese; High Ballocity; Planetarium; Swimming at Traner Pool; Laser Tag/ Go Carts; Roller Kingdom; Boomtown Fun Center

      Field trips are available for an additional fee of $8/per activity and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
      Club members will participate in traditional summer camp programming before and after field trips. The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows will be renting out EVERY summer camp location while we are there to limit crowds and maintain COVID-19 social distancing.

      You must register and pay for traditional summer camp before you can register and pay for a field trip. Participation in traditional summer camp, field trips require a Boys & Girls Club membership.

        Safety Updates

        Mask Mandate STAFF If a staff member is vaccinated, masks are optional. If a staff member is not vaccinated, masks are required. PARENTS If parents are vaccinated, masks are optional inside our buildings. If parents are not vaccinated, masks are required inside our buildings. MEMBERS For members 12 and under, masks are optional. We will have zero tolerance for "mask shaming," and no child will be made to feel out of place because of their decision to wear or not wear a mask. Members 13 years and older -If they are vaccinated, masks are optional. -If they are not vaccinated, masks are required. Field Trips If members are participating in field trips, they must bring a mask in the event the venue requires masks. Parents in Our Building Allowed to come in if you are making a payment. Allowed to come in if you are registering your child(ren). Allowed to come in if you are signing an incident report. Allowed to come in if you want to make a complaint. Allowed to come in if we have asked you to pick up your child. Allowed to come in if they an appointment. Otherwise, parents must wait outside. 1 - 2 parents are allowed to wait in vestibules (dependent on site) Member Cleanliness & Hygiene Members will sanitize/wash their hands before entering our program areas. Members will sanitize/wash their hands before eating a meal (breakfast, lunch, and snack). We encourage members to cover their mouths with their elbow when coughing or sneezing. Drinking Fountains Drinking fountains will be re-instated, but our members and staff cannot drink from them. They will be considered filling stations. We encourage members to bring water bottles. Cups will be available at the drinking fountains. Clean & Disinfect Staff will wipe down tables every hour. All Club rooms and activity areas will be sanitized with Sani-Carts every evening when programming is done. All shuttles will be sanitized and sprayed after every field trip. Doorknobs and frequently touched surfaces will be wiped down twice per day. Once at noon and again at the end of the night.

          Marge's Overnight Camping Trip

          Come experience the Great Outdoors at Camp Fleischmann! Marges Camp exists to intentionally provide all children, regardless of financial means, with a shared, fun, rewarding, and safe summer camping experience, through diverse activities and programs that embody the Boys and Girls Club’s Core Values and Key Elements. Marges Camp is committed to making sure that every camper leaves with a greater sense of self-esteem and self-confidence; and with impactful relationships that will last for a lifetime. Located over the buried north end of the Sierra Nevada and the southern most end of the Cascade Mountains near Mount Lassen Volcanic Park in Northern California, Camp Fleischmann offers a full outdoor adventure and plenty of fun. It sits on the shore of Fleischmann Lake, a forest oasis fed by a hot spring, making water temperatures perfect for summer day swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and more. Climbing activities, outdoor education, art activities; including tye-dye, and snow globes. Nature walks, and stargazing.

          Boys Week; Sunday, July 18th – July 23rd

          Ages: 10- 14

          Camp is $20 per child

          Must bring their own sleeping bag and pillow
